Hi all.
Not sure where to even begin, but I would like to attend a roll racing casual track day. Either at a drag strip, but preferably on a circuit. Any ideas where I can start to look for such an event? I'm located in Melbourne. Thanks! Hunt |

Looks as if you'll have to go to either Perth or Sydney as that's where they hold their events currently.

Wondering the same thing, not into the drags, but would luv to try roll racing as done in Brisbane and Sydney.

Do any of your local circuits do driver training or club member tuning days? Maybe worth joining your local 'sporting car club'
Roll racing isn't bad as its easy on your car, no drivetrain torturing launches. The thing that got me though is they're meant to be street cars, no race fuel or race rubber. Plenty of cars were trailered there, parachutes and all. Now it was pretty hard to tell when I was out there, with the methanol burning my eyes, but there seemed to be lots of Mickey Thompsons and nos being purged. Not really in the spirit of the event.

Yeah I like the idea of roll racing like what they do at powercruise events. Not actual racing - just casual 'chop ya mates' type deal.
As you say, much easier on driveline and it also seems like it would be more fun than drag racing where you spend most of your time in the pits. |
