To buy or to have fitted? As an alternative to brembo and DBA, you can try RDA and see how much they want for a set, they sell similar products for most vehicles but at a reduced price.

http://www.rdabrakes.com.au/ is them, they have the factory over in molendinar, you cant buy direct from them though, they prefer you to go to one of their suppliers, so give global a call.

Nerang Unit1/ Spencer Rd (cnr Lawrence Drv) 4211

Southport 7 Bailey Crs 4215

If you want someone to fit them, let me know, i know someone in southport who would look after you (with any product, DBA, RDA, brembo, etc, will supply them all).

I run DBA slotteds and AU1 XR6 front pads on our ED XR. The brakes are great, excellent pedal and absolutely no fade. Only issue is that the disks only last two sets of pads... but small price to pay for good anchors.
Not sure what the Ford pads are equivalent to in Bendix or whatever... price is OK so I never bothered to find out.
I pay $110 per disk and around $75 for the pads (in Melb though) and do all the fitting myself.
It takes no more than an hour per side to fit so should be $100 to $150 in fitting costs ?
Hope that helps.
