If both cars enter the roundabout at the same time the fault can still be with the driver "pushing" their way through.
But if you can't be bothered even insuring your own car for 3rd party coverage then perhaps your mate needs to suck it up and may be liable for the repairs to the other car if he is at fault. Who was she anyway?
