Thought this may be of interest to those in south Vic.
https://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/news...d-1-to-4-april The load is a generator stator which is heading off to Germany for a refurb. The stator weighs in at 255 tonne. Good opportunity to see a load that doesn't travel that often. If you're not interested in seeing the load, at least be aware of the road network impacts, eg: Quote:

Disappointing to see we need to ship this halfway around the world instead of rebuilding it here in Australia

Knowing bugger all about trucks, I've always been interested in how they make sure each truck is doing its share, ie the load is evenly distributed. I realise they'd all have uhf radios, but does anyone know how they make sure one's not coasting and the next isn't busting a foofer?
