Default VSS & Reverse signal location

Where would I find these signals?

What colours are the wires?

I'm going to install an aftermarket navi.

I want to put it in my BA but it seems technically challenging.
Hopefully can easily put in the AU.

Cheers

What model & what location do you want to tap into the wiring?

I want to put it into a series 1.
The navi will go into the existing stereo location (doesn't need external discs, or anything), so I would tap into signals as close to cluster as possible.

I don't think there is a reverse wire is there? The cluster / ecu know the gear based on the resistance coming from the inhibitor switch.

Might need to make a circuit to test the voltage on that wire, or hook it into the reverse lamps (probably not the best idea)
