While the battery in my 2019 Focus SA Active is still going strong, it almost 6 years old. I assume it could die any time after 6 years of age?
Does anyone know the best replacement battery for this car? Cheers Dave |

Can you have it load tested at a Battery World? That’s usually a free service and should give you an idea of where you’re pointed.
Sometimes the OEM batteries from Jefferson Ford are actually best value for replacement. |

I was thinking a brand like Century or Super Charge, but open to a recommendation. |

Citing a favourite brand can be a risk, someone else lobs in with “I had one of them and it caused my car to <insert random event of choice>”…
My two most inconvenient experiences were with SSB batteries, the negative posts were hollow/porous and let acid vapour destroy the negative terminal clamp. However I still use the brand. I also have Century, AC Delco and Club Assist batteries in service. A good Lion was stolen out of one car, they are a Melbourne based brand but again, Korean quality. |

After a bit of research on FF it appears that this car is going to let me know when the battery is on its way out (clever little car - recent purchase for us - still learning). So I guess I will worry about it then.
PS - You know your having a bad day when someone knocks off your car battery! |

I have a jump-starter stored in the spare wheel well just in case and will probably think about replacing the battery after I need to use that (I've actually used it 3 times to help other stranded people so I know it works).
