Default If you were a Car

Car (or Significant model) must have been released in your year of birth.

I missed out by a couple of the years on being a Mustang...
So...

Jensen Interceptor (1966)
  1. Sounds much cooler than it is.
  2. Strange Blend of American and British Influences
  3. Looks normal from the front, but ugly from the rear.
  4. Difficult to Handle
  5. Looks have not aged well
  6. Surprisingly Powerful
  7. Hopelessly Inefficient

Easy answer! 56 Customline! (Which I’ve already had)
My dream car though… is a 56 T-bird! (porthole roof model)

I'll be a 1953 Studebaker Starliner or perhaps a 1954 Corvette please although I'm actually probably more like a rusty, faded worn out old FJ Holden.

I arrived in Australia within a couple of weeks of the 48-215 FX prototype arriving from the USA.

Big with looks that are an acquired taste, sounds like it'll go well but in reality just not that quick at all

1971, so an XY Falcon.
Maybe its a chromosome label, an X and a Y. *Checks, yep Male.

I left the gym / body-building to one of the boys, so I'm not a muscle car GT

Bit of grey coming through lately, so maybe a Fairmont with the extra chrome trim.

An Edsel is not a Ford, it is a distinct brand & was positioned to be more expensive than a Ford but less so than a Mercury or Lincoln.

Yes they were built by the Ford Motor Company, but you won't find a Ford badge on them anywhere or in a sales brochure.

Hmm, I can't really think of a car I find desirable from 1986.

In which case, I'd say that I'm a Jaguar XJS V12 because............

- Often temperamental and cranky
- Often broken
- Packs a punch when required
- Generous
- Tall, dark and handsome ()

I’d be an early Silver Shadow. Expensive to run, over-complicated, desirable to the eye*, generally durable even when ragged at the edges.

*In fact, so handsome I’m often mistaken for Cav.

1983 XE ESP 5.8.
- Basic.
- Handles that wont let you in.
- Looks fast but is slow.
- Is older than it looks.

Yeah the Edsel was a fail. We loved our 59 Ranger though. They're bit of a quirky collector now in the U.S. 2 door ones look great IMO.

I'd be a 1983 VH Starfire

Underpowered, rough and unrefined, unwanted, and perfect for leaving in a paddock to rust away somewhere. Poorly engineered, and should never have existed.

As a 1982 Baby, I would be the VH Commodore SS Group 3.. 1982 was the first year of the SS Commodore which was a mainstay right up until 2017 when the AU Commodore died...
