Pink dots change to green for me. I'd rather pink bits.

it is just an animation.

tthere is a green dot that travels around the pink. not an optical illusion at all.

for proof scroll down so you can see the bottom 3 pink dots only... and youll see the green go past.

Look a little harder or ask someone else to look and explain it to you. If its an animation how come when I block the cross with my finger then stare at it for 60 seconds nothing happens. But when I focus on the cross for 10 seconds the outer ring of dots disappear...

I tried that - when I blink with the cross covered I see a full circle of green dots elsewhere on the screen, in addition to the moving green and pink dots!!! And now I think I'm permanently cross-eyed. Aaaargh!

You don't have to look at the cross. You can stare at any blank spot on the page and the same thing happens. Still preety cool.

One dot turned green for me then slowly the other dots vanished as the green dot went over them, then the green dot slowly faded away.

That's an old illusion but still a good one. Funny seeing people argue about it when in reality it's really really simple.

1. its a .gif file. a file type used for animated images like our smileys.

2. do you want me to take a screen shot of each individual frame? or just a screen shot of it opened in a .gif editing program.

HLC no one is denying it is a gif file with each one flashing green in succession as it goes around, but when staring at it your eyes adjust and see it differently.

when i stare at it after 10seconds or so its like 1 by 1 they start disappearing, and then 1 by 1 they come back again as it goes around, then repeat. i suggest you stare harder at it buddy instead of shouting wtf gif
