Default Hello from AU land!

Hi guys. I know a heap about AU's, but not lot about EF/EL's. And Im wondering, other than fairmonts and fairlane, and XR8's, did the EF/EL's come out with a 5 litre? And what are some things to look out for when buying an EF/EL 5 litre, be it a fairmont, or XR8? Im looking for one for my self, as my girlfriend has just t urned 18 and got her license, and gets my AU XR6, and Im after an EL 5 litre of some description.

GLi, Futura, Fairmont, Fairmont Ghia, Fairlane Ghia all had optional 165kw Windsor
LTD had the V8 standard still in 165kw trim.
XR8 was 170kw in both EF and most EL.
late EL XR8's got the 185kw engine.
the stock V8 doesn't have much more poke then an I6 in standard trim, but the V8 will deffinately have more potential if you've got a lot of money to throw at it.

You're game dude, giving the AU XR6 to the girlfriend, especially only just getting the license. As for the 5 Litre EF/EL, if you want manual look for an xr8. But if you don't mind the auto I say go for the EL Fairmont Ghia. Sooooo Nice!
