All depends on how much $$$$

As a collectors item, it won't exactly send people into a frenzy, As a car it was great, as a GT it was a disappointment. Would I buy one...hell yeah.....at the right price and in the right condition.

Only problem is that they don't look factory..........what do i mean by this....... well they kinda look like an EB with aftermarket bolt ons.......maybe its cos there were so many pretenders soon after.

Its not that collectable now but in a decade that might change. 10 years ago I was looking at XB GT's for $2000 and a mate bought a mint XU1 for $4000.

I used to like the EB GT's but have gone cold on them. The EL GT is more my style in the E-Series...

For the right money i'd buy one in a heartbeat.

My preference is the EB over the EL, the EL is like the Walkinshaw it's a mobile tupperware party.

And the EB has less bodykit than the EL?

/on topic You won't lose money in buying an EB GT at this point in time, but it won't appreciate in value for some time yet. An EB (or EL) GT would make a great weekender to punt around in, or just for cruising.

Don't expect lightning fast power, they're more like the original XR/XT GTs, a a nimble luxo cruiser with balls, rather than an all-out monster.

I think they were rated as being better than their VP GTS equivalent too :P

Ignoring issues with performance, power, plastic(?), etc, it's the flagship of the Ford range at the time, and it has the GT badge.

Maybe you should have a look in your driveway before thinking that, more plastic on yours than at a californian plastic surgeons display.

Look what a good walkie goes for nowadays. The EL GT is a character car. I don't hate the EB GT, a jade green one with matching blown big block boat in tow at lake buffalo is still seered into memory. Wasn't original, but still it looked damn good!

You won't loose money on either. Fun way to invest your money. From what I've seen recently you can probably pick up a good EB GT a bit cheaper than an EL.

Would buy and EB GT very nice cars and at the time had a fair amount of power, compared now to the BF they arent a real powerful car, but still very nice.

Was looking at an EB GT before buying my current car. Most dreamers want high 20's some in the 30's for them. Simply not worth that money.
