Just get an SR, they'll be plenty of them in the near future with the VE coming out. An SR with some choice mods is a nice car.

My aim is to stick with the EL for another 2 years whilst saving for my XR6T. get a XT tim and mod the front so its XR style. Ive seen it before and it looks good..

depends on how long you are keeping it for and your modification plans and budget

If you want just another XR by all means buy one but if you want to personalise it go for the Xt..

Look at it this way...
You will replace the springs, wheels and exhaust anyway so you are paying the XR premuim for things you will throw away...

Cosmetic wise the seat bolsters are the same bar the fabric.. The Xr lights are $400 for a pair and then you can kit an XT up to be a V8 Supercar, GT, typoon etc so the std XR parts will be left over too..

It is your money, your car...

Alittle mis informed there.. The injected LPG kits produce more KW than when the car is running on ULP, so with the coin saved from buying a base model you could get an injected dual fuel car ready to accept your personal touches... The engine while perhaps not designed for LPG in your run of the mill Falcons will pose no problems with the injected LPG systems...

Another consideration is resale value. when you come to sell the XR6 will hold its value better then the XT which like most falcons drops like a stone.

personaly.. resale factor for me is a small issue. i tend not to concentrate on the negatives of a car such as selling it for less. the resale value of every car is **** house. i concentrate on the joy of ownership, and the joy of driving.

thats just my oppinion though.. each to their own. i biassed towards xt though :P

They dont make XT manuals anymore, so there will be less to find.

I dont know how many would be out there, but I would say VERY few.

See if you can buy the Mock XT from Brenden!!!! Hahahahaha.

Yeah, fair point. I had not considered the injected LPG kits. I dont know much about them. Is compression an issue???

BA SR or XT with Sports pack.

17" alloys, sports suspension, wings, sideskirts, front bar.
Should come with fast glass all round, cruise and 6 cd, sports steering wheel
(am I the only person who finds the Stocko wheel hurts their hand after a while?)

IS a real nice car, but as far as insurance is concerned, "Its an XT, mate"
and they aint as common as XR6n/a

Gives you some extra folding, for tints, lowering, engine mods etc.
