Got to admit the 20B's do sound preety damn good. About 100000000 times better than its little brothers anyway. Sounds like a worked V6 at idle as well. Dont know about the 22's though.

One thing people are forgetting.... Weight distribution

If he got rid of the bling, put some nice 18's with some Carrera Cup slicks on, I doubt you will find many street V8's keeping up with it around a circut...

my gf has a 13b n/t S4 totally stock

The non turbos are gutless and are only quick if you drive em quick....good down shifts..up shifts..correct gear etc etc

handles really well and the rotary just keeps wanting more revs...its redline is at 8000 but i punched it past that and it kept going

with a nice zorst and a little bit of boost it would be sweet as

There one thing i have that they don't have... TORQUE. Seen what a 350Z weighs? They weigh in at all of 20kg lighter than an XY.... And I'd lay money on the 20b turbo weighing more than the VQ35.....

Yep, was unimpressed and couldn't hold a conversation at cruise. Admittedly it was pretty quick, but it made my ears bleed and drank fuel as hard as my clevo..

The original poster Titled the thread "Super Tough 350Z". That was what i had a problem with, and then responded when challenged on my qualifications to comment on werther or not it was a tough car.... maybe tepid would have been a better choice of words. Oh, and whats with attempting to lay on the HSV driver trip?
But really. Its a lame video of a guy trying to do burnouts in a car he's spent a gazillion dollars on to make it Blingtastic, and now it won't spin the tires unless he bounces it off the limiter and pops the clutch (and that ultra low profile sidewall should make it easier to light up!), and promptly overheats.

I still want that 2 minutes 16 back....

Yeah would be happy with mid to low 9s on mt street slicks with the 6sp although i am considering a 2sp powerglide in time for Jambo which should see this car into the 8sec bracket with close to 1000hp and 1400kg of weight.

Also posted on the other forum by the owner:

I thought i would register on here since im the owner of this car.

KOPPERS

Id watch what you say on public forums bud when you dont even know me so dont claim that you know what i do !!! You may get yourself into some trouble with a big mouth like that.

Thanks very much for the comments and feedback guys its much appreciated.

Basically this car WAS my daily untill it got a bit out of hand when i lost my license. Basically the car has totally been built in 6mths !!!

The engine we built for this is identical to that of Dyson Rotary's RX7 that runs 7.4

It was a costly project although its been something ive wanted to do since i bought my Z new in 2004. The car is good for over 800hp @ wheels and its also armed with a nitrous kit also. The intentions with this car were to do some Drag racing and bring it out on the street occasionally when i get my license back in another year

If there is anyone on here based in QLD ill be bringing it out to Dysons Dyno Day on Aug 6th at there workshop in Labrador and you can have a better look at it then. It will also be featured on the cover of september FAST FOURS magazine, Autosalon cover, Ignition DVD cover, maybe Zoom and also cover of american magazine Import Tuner. Brisbane Autosalon is also on the cards at the moment as OZZY TYRES have just come on board as a major sponsor.

Also to clarify a few things YES this car CAN and WILL be engineered. It aint just a 1000hp engine slapped into a 350z, we have changed to coilover suspension, 365mm brake upgrade kit, 1.5 way lsd, billet driveshafts.
At present i have a race built 2sp powerglide on order which will be in the car intime for the Jamboree so we will have to wait and see how it all goes then.

Thanks very much for your interest in my car

Anthony

Man those rotors make one of the most horrid engine notes EVER.

Still, it looks like it has some punch! Damn!

Clearly it wasn't in this state of tune in the vid... that is not an 800hp burnout.

Probably would have turned the tires untill they blew without overheating....
