Default Travis Pastrana, world's first double back flip on a motor bike

As the title suggests.

This is unbelieveable! I remember when carey hart pulled off the first back flip, now people are doing them everywhere, it was only a matter or time before someone attempted this, and Pastrana had the balls to try it. Crazy!

He's like the clean cut american kid, in a sport full of hard core wild boys, he's done well to keep a level head and stay on the right track, letting his riding do the talking.

the way people are continually having to raise the bar for competition. 10 years ago if you buggered up a trick, you might break an arm or a leg or come ribs, if you bugger up a double backflip chances are the outcome isnt going to be so minor. Like when seth went for the distance record, spent months in recovery and ended up with lots more titanium in him, then after he recovered tried it again and ended up in same position!

Unbelievable flip, its a pity he gave up on Supercross and Motorcross though, Rodger DeCoster had him pinned as the next big thing when he was younger..

And to think the first backflip on a four-stroke was done by an Aussie.... R.I.P. Jono Porter

And with all the amazing things he pulled off in freestyle to get killed in a motocross race after he got hit by another rider after going down. Dark day in Aussie bike racing that was.

Travis Pastrana and Nate Adams by far the leaders in freestyle motorcross 95% of the metal mulisha are just posers.

An Aussie just came third in the X Games and was the only top competitor on a four-stroke.

the double flip is something awesome! but while watching the x games the last few nights, it didn't seem superbly out there. he had the right ramp for it and obviously the right 2-stroker but the tricks that i think really set the x-games off are the more intense for extension. tricks like the chuckie cheese (superman barrel-roll for those unfamiliar with chuck carothers and more familiar with XXX vin diesel), the holy man and the flip variations (flip + superman, cordova and lazyboy really set the backflips off). especially if the holy man is done over a 115ft(38-34m) gap. also the off axis flip is unbelievable, bless brian deegan for innovating that trick. go pastrana, too bad about his knee and no second run for freestyle moto-x.

NOTE: 2-stroke has never been properly smelt/inhaled unless you've been in the pits or on pit roof at MotoGP on Philip Island or any other MotoGP race.
