Hey guys,
First tank of gas in the EB has got me 370km from full to the reserve light on. That's with a good mix of around town and highway. I couldn't be happier! I was hoping for 250km and expecting 150km so when it passed the 300km mark I was pretty happy, but getting 70km more than that is brilliant! Keep in mind this is a car that does 100km to 25 litres of petrol : Anyways, I'll probably get it tuned up and hope I can hit 400 once that is done. $800 well spent! Sundeep |

I've done 20km's so far and I'm still driving with it on. I'll run it out, just to see what I get.

thats the advantage of mixer ring setups, the economy can be so good
wonder if its leaning out though. how does the performance feel on LPG?

Haven't heard it ping and it picks up fine, so I'd say it's getting the right amount of gas.
Performance is almost the same as petrol with the mixer in, tad slower off the line but overtaking power is still there. I haven't really booted it and I've been listening out for noises but everything actually seems OK for once on this car! Sundeep |

$600 for the kit + $200 for new lines = $800

Edelbrock heads, straight swap for your polariser. Seems fair.

It doesn't smell at all believe it or not. The guy who did the exhaust said that the cats are in pretty good nick, and the main reason they smell is due to dead cats or a really rich idle mix.
You should convert Damo! It'd cost like $250 for me to convert a I6 I reckon. So easy to get parts for them it's not funny. And there are so many Tickford kits around for EF/EL. I'll be keeping the motor intact. Not selling anything off it. I'm starting to really like this car now, it's being good to me. I'll probably try and track down some sort of engine management after the respray and get it running schmicko on petrol as well, and give [KENAZ-8] a run for his money ;) Sundeep |
