Default My Car Is A Donar

I feel very excited about this.
Dave from kewish automatics in dandenong just called me and wants to borrow my car for 2 hours tomorrow morning
Apparently they have developed a new valve body (or machined a standard one) and this changes the shift into 4th gear because they are having troubles with the xr6 turbos shifting into 4th under extreme power.
Im more than happy to have free mods on my auto done as im sure anyone would. Dave also said that when i get my auto rebuilt to handle 240rwkw he will look after.
Win win situation for me, i'll let you know how it goes

Yeh i highly recommend them.
I have only spoken to have a few times but every time i have he always gives me the time of day, dosent bull**** and tells straight how it is.
They also do a top quality jobs which are proven both at the track and on the street.

I presume the E-series BTR's would need to cop the upgraded (maserati) planetary set from an BA2 XR6 Turbo BTR to take similar amounts of power? Has anyone ever priced that?

just got back from picking up the car.
Auto feels alot smoother with "refined".
Dave said the testing was a success but wants to hear from me in a few weeks to make sure everything is holding up fine.
Dave was telling me this afternoon that this mod to the auto will be very benifical as it will cause alot less failures of autos.
He said the problem is that when they shift into 4th there isnt enough pressure there so it causes wear, tear and eventually the bands will let go and you got no 2nd and 4th gears.
He said my car had a small amount of **** in the pan and that i should look at getting the auto replaces within the next 6-12 months if im driving the car hard, so its worth while checking your auto's out guys in case they are on their last legs.
Sorry for the long post
