My son's KF Laser (1.6 carb manual) runs on a little after turn off of igniton. It also "hunts" or "surges" when you back off and then put throttle on. It's a jerking sensation.
Any ideas?? |

Sounds like it is dieseling. Could be timing as said, mixture problem, carbon build up or the carby isn't closing. Does it do it when it is cold? Try spraying some carby cleaner in there, see if it helps.

The timing was VERY advanced - so I adjusted it to the big timing mark - 3 or 4 notches from the bottom of the marking bracket. I thought this was 4 degrees. Is it the Top Dead Centre mark? If so, how many marks do I go "above" it to make the timing 4 degrees?
