Default Mechanical Engineers

I am a student currently studying mechanical engineering at Swinburne University. As part of my degree, I have to interview a practicing mechanical engineer for one of my subjects.

I'm just wondering if there are any mechanical engineers on these forums?

I have sent an email to FPR and britek, because I would like to get into the motor sport field when I complete my degree, but if I don't hear anything from them, I don't want stuck with no one to interview.

Your help is appreciated.

Cheers

I am sure Ford or Holden would be willing to do something for you. They have heaps of links with us Monash Uni engineers, not sure about Swinny though

All it is, is an interview of a practicing mechanical engineer. Just gotta ask some question (10-20) about their job.

If all else fails, call up the Navy. I'm sure they would be more than happy to help you.

A 1st year subject inwhich they get you to interview a practicing one, interesting.

I presume this would be some sort of professional development course? What other topics do you cover?

I did a similar subject in my 1st year, inwhich we conducted the design of project from concept thru to detailed designs. Also covered ethics, IEAust Code of conduct and CPEng Certification competencies.
