Default Color coded from factory ?

Hi all. My 88 EA 'S' has all white bumpers and side trims with the red 'S' stripe. Most have grey side trims and grey on the tops of the bumpers. My question is "Did they come out like that or (my opinion) has the previous owner had them sprayed". Thanks.

EB 2 Fairmont Ghia's had them colour coded, ED Fairmont and Fairmont Ghia had them colour coded. Then of course the EB 2 onwards LWB models.
As far as I know thats all that had them. I'm pretty sure no EA's had them, unless they were an option but I'm not sure of that.

Anyone please correct me if I'm wrong here.

No, they would have been sprayed by a previous owner

Pretty sure the EA S-packs had the grey side mouldings / bumper strip with the red stripe. So i guess the previous owner had them sprayed
