looks like GT4 with lots more polygons and a higher res... but... if they can knock that together for a launch imagine what will happen when they FINALLY add damage!!

Do not like the controller Its weird as. Looks silly and the top buttons are in an awkward position.

The console market is getting really really interesting.

I used to be able to say with certainty that PC's had the best looking games. Now, without question, both XBOX 360 and PS3 have the power to absotutely destroy the current high-end PCs... however.... PCs are upgradable.

yeah i recon the new PS3 look pretty damn sweet but i agree with Danny that the control does look a bit wierd.

From what i can remember i think i paid about $700-$800 when it was only a few months old so i guess we can expect to pay that much for when ths one comes out.

when are sony going to make an actual ergonomic and comfortable controller, that controller looks like complete rubbish.

those pics look great, but ill believe them when i see it for myself, could be pre rendered

yep thats why i don't bother with consoles anymore. PC's are cheap to build and easy to upgrade and you're not stuck with TV resolution for a PC either. So no matter how good the hardware is inside you're stuck at some god ugly resolution. Although consoles are a lot more portable hehe.

I read it was going to be released next year in June in australia. The Xbox 360 released by christmas this year if it hasnt already been published.

Don't worry about microsofts marketing of it's 3 'separate' processors, the PS3 obliterates it in computing power. Twice the floating point power. Very impressive.

Checkout Kill Zone, absolutely amazing.

The PS3 though, although it is said to have a single processor, it actually is broken up into 9 parts, the 1st being the main PPE (PowerPC Processing Element) and a further 8 SPE (Synergisitic Processing Element).

Basically the PPE send instructions to each of the SPE's where they are all able to run on separate code at the same time all at 3.2GHz.

Damn fast....

I am more into PC's as i believe the games are far more advanced in AI, physics etc, but this console should and i'm sure will kill any new PC for a while now.

A major redesign in the architecture of the humble PC is required to catch up to this baby now i believe.

LOL yeah, but the PS3 Cell processor has eight cores running at 3.2GHz... with about 2terra flops of processing power (so they say). neway, we still have to wait for like a year till it comes out... :yeees:
