The car in question is a 99 KN 1.8L Laser sedan, the car very rarely gets driven since we live so close to the train and we use the ute most weekends. however this has caused a problem, now when you press down on the clutch and subsiquently release the clutch there is a squeaking sound, quite loud out side.
Does anybody have any idea what this may be? My first impression was possibly the pedal box but now Im leaning toward the throwout not having enough lubrication, if this is it is there any access to spray some sort of lubrication in there and what would people reccomend? some kind or molly grease in a spray can if you can spray it into the clutch plate
it may be rust in the surfaces where the relaese bearing and pressure plate run but if it is the grease in the sealed relase bearing has hardened and a good highway run wont melt the grease then that bearing may need to be replaced

Cheers for that, had a quick look and listen this afternoon, and since the sound is when the pedal is pressed and not while driving I'm thinking and hoping its more toward the pedal, gonna check the rubber boots and seals and get some grease on there.

Yeah got in there last night with some soft seal, it was the rubber boot where the arm goes into the bell housing, amazing how loud it was outside the car for such a minor thing.
