Default Charlton Heston dead at 84

Another huge loss to the movie world. One of my favourite all time actors has passed away at 84. RIP.

That is really sad to hear. 84 is still a good innings though.

He was great in Omega Man and El Cid and my favourite - Ben Hur.

RIP Charlton Heston. The world has lost a great man and one of the rarest of celebrities, one whose personal beliefs are there own, not what is currently trendy and does not pretend ALL the time.

You will be missed by many.....

This is a thread about a great actor...how did it turn into a gun crusade??

He was a great actor and one that I am sure will be missed. His portrail of Moses in the Ten Commandments was nothing short of brilliant!

People can't help themselves, politics always comes into it. Come on folks, let's celebrate the life of a great actor. Not delve into the politics of another nation.

Of course the three above are great - when he was at his prime.

John Wayne, now Charlton Heston.

Only Clint Eastwood is left.

As you can plainly tell, I still haven't got over the first one.
Don't plan too either.

Very 1st thought that came to me on hearing of his passing was "OH MY GOD"... I reckon he must have said that phrase in half his movies?

A fantastic actor and an equally fantastic man. His work with Martin Luther King also extended to helping young african americans into education, as well as using his influence to fight for black rights long after Martin Luther was gone.
"He truly was, a man of God". R.I.P.
