Default [VIC] Official OzECruisers Cruise #1 6/07/08 Feedback Thread

Well most of you would not of known that there was a cruise on today as it was only Advertised in the OzEcruisers Members Section :(

Anyway Braden was recently nominated as the "Official Cruise/Events Coordinator" and has kicked it off with this one

There will be more in the next months and we will see what we can do to advertise it better......

It kicked off at 12.00 at Greensborough Plaza Car Park

Second Meet Point was Whiittlsea High School

Third Meet point was Yan Yan Reservoir

and ended at Thomastown SubWay - apparently this is the start point for the next cruise.

Braden did an awesome job, the map was excellent and when i go to work tommorow i will copy it and post it up on here so you can see how much work he did.

Rain Held off, it got very cold, we saw some Kangaroos, I ran over road kill (opps), my clean car got dirty real quick, we had a mix of Tarmac Roads and Dirt Roads (thanks efgair lol) - but all in all i had an awesome time.

I have just added this so others can post in it - i will add pics later tonight

To be continued:-

Yep, it was great fun, but my clean ED is now filthy

Great fun on the dirt though!!!

Braden did a fantastic job organising the cruise, too.

Rosco - when did you hit roadkill? I didn't see anything fall off Dezza's car

maybe if the cruise was announced in the general section there would of been more interest in the cruise and the club

as far as i was aware, you had to be a paid up member to have information on cruises, hence why it is in the members only section

Just got home an hour ago. Was a good first up cruise, even if we did only have 5 cars, 1 of them who is no longer in this section.
We found a few dirt roads that damn whereis didn't tell me about! :( Ah well was fun anyway, even if the cars did get dirty!

I've got a few photos to that I'll get up later tonight.

Next month's cruise will be a night cruise starting at our last meet point. Hopefully we can get the events and cruises section opened up by then as we are in desperate need of it.

Big thanks to all those who attended today.

And big thanks to Josh (efgiar) for helping me get some ideas for the cruise, even if he did lead me onto some dirt tracks! ing_sm

Pics will come soon.

TAILGATER !!!!!!!!!!!

All in all was a great day, big thanks to Braden, what an effort to organise a cruise even if Josh helped with the maps, LOVE THE MAPS with the LOGO on it, nice work.

We need stickers as I was the only car with one :togo:

And thanks to the Girl Friends - duuno their names - for coming along and letting their Fellas come out and play cars (and keeping them company)

no you dont have to be a full paying member to attend cruises

what you do need to be if you are not a member of the club you can attend if you are invited (being from a full or associate member )

sorry to be the one to state that but that is what the club states

I know what your getting at Jason and Mark and Scotty were invited by myself and Dezza, both whom are full paying members. So I don't get the point of your post?
It was good of them to come along and make up some numbers.

I can't get my photos up tonight as I was using my gf's camera and she forgot to bring the cable to connect it to the computer. :( I'll grab it tomorrow night!

Where is the bag of cable ties ??

So was it the idea to go down the dirt road or was it just a mistake on the maps that took it to a dirt road ( like gps does not tell you its a dirt road when you planned it)

other then that it looks like you had some fun .

There were no problems today, just a few blokes who love our e-series going for a good cruise and having some good chats and laughs.
Only certain members on here are causing problems.

Now can we cut the crap and get back on topic.

Get over it. We had a good enjoyable cruise. You and Gavin weren't there so there was no reason Mark couldn't come along.

It was great fun despite the small turnout. Good job Braden for organising it. I must admit I enjoyed the gravel roads despite the car sounding like it was going to fall apart (Mark's was falling apart). And good old power steering belts. I'm sick of throwing them, but at least they're easy to fit.

btw. That toolbox loves the corners. I go around a corner and wait for the bang as it crashes into one side.

Wont your tool box dent your car Dezza or smash something in the boot, you need cable ties or velcro straps to hold it in one place..........

If i knew there was going to be a dirt road i would of never decided to go last :( doesnt really matter now as its raining today so the car would of got dirty anyway................

Love to see more cars at the next one

It hasn't done any damage so far but I want to find a way to strap it down so it doesn't move.

Couple of strips of Velcro will hold it down on the bottom of the toolbox, you'll only need the plastic side, not the soft side. It'll stick to the carpet. Thats how my amp and sub box are in place and they never move!
I'll get my photos up in a min.
