Default Removing TDCi Engine Cover

Has anyone done this to their turbo diesel?

Its been mentioned that all you need to is lift the cover up vertically as it is just clipped in, this was said for the zetec duratec engines..

I tried the above but was not able to pull it up vertically, it feels like its bolted on somewhere but cant find where..

Anyone able to tell me from experience where the clips\bolts are located, and how many there are?

cheers,
Loris.

I wouldn't think it would be bolted on. There's four clips on it. On the four corners. The front clips should come off relatively easily, but the back ones can be tough to get off the first time.

There are 3 ball clips that it sockets into, I'm pretty sure they are in the following locations: top left, middle right, bottom left.

It's pretty hard to pull off the first time but it will come off, a good idea is the grease up the balls it sits on so next time it should come of easily

There is a rubber grommet on top of each "ball" which latches onto the bottom holes of the plastic engine cover. Make sure you don't lose them.
