In the pre-fight McCall looked very fit, he might have been 10 years older but if he's fit and fast and still powerful, Hoppa didnt have a chance. He relies on fighting opponents he can wind up a haymaker with to knock them out.

Will be interesting to see how Sonny Bill Williams goes, he would make a very good boxer, with his height, build and speed. But it depends on what he's like without as much experience.

polynesians cant fight for crap unless its in a pub and for about 30secs, they always go for the head.

sonny bill is too slow and the wrong build for boxing.

they have no technical ability in the ring.

good warriors no doubt but boxers and kickboxers, me no think so.

now just need someone to do the same to Mundine and his ego and i'll be really happy. He's only fought "no-names" as yet.

He fought Sven Ottke, he was a good boxer. And He knocked poor Mundine clean out, lol.

Did you watch the fight? Do you agree with the result? I didn't see it so I can't comment & don't know a lot about boxing anyway.

Nah just saw report of fox sports. It was said to be a very good fight though, Mundine nearly had him in the 2nd round but Geale came back to last the distance.

Oliver McCall is a huge professional boxer, he's even knocked out Lennox Lewis in the second round. I don't know why they even put John Hoppoate to try fight McCall, there was going to be no chance. And if anybody has seen any of McCall's fights, he can really take some MASSIVE hits!

I booked the Mundine v Geale fight. I agree with the descision, but in saying that, it could have gone either way. Geale was throwing some nice punches and combos, but not really fazing Mundine. There was a short period in the 10th round where Geale had Mundine on the ropes and could have hurt him, but it looked like Geale was tiring.

Geale was knocked down in the 2nd round.

Whats more unbelievable was that the tape on Mundine's glove came undone 6-7 times and the fight had to be interrupted.

Mundine got an official warning for raising his elbow, Geale got a caution for the back of the head.

Sonny Bill made his debut, as did his opponent. Neither of them looked really comfortable, till Sonny Bill laid about 5 uppercuts in the 2nd round in quick succession and the ref called the fight.
