Default electronic ignition?

what have people done with electronic ignition for 1300/1600 kent motors?... is there a kit? or a trick?

Hi,

I'm not sure about the Kent motors Specificly, however i've used a Pertonix Ignitor Kit on my Corty before i went to a Crane Cams Hi-6 and was very impressed with it it uses a magnetic pick up so there's no contact or light diodes, it was really easy to set up and the best thing was no more points or timing adjustment =D.

I think there about 120ish last time i checked,
The best thing is that you just fit it to your existing distributor and thats it, there's only 1 extra wire that connects to the Positive on your coil so it takes about 20minutes to install it all and tune it up.

Good link there as Aldon was the distributor until they folded. The systems are the same - just a different name. I have an Aldon ignitor in the Mini and it is the bees knees(driving through driving rain, no dizzy shroud and not a hint of water shorts...it just keeps on going)

Pertronix will be a good choice...

I had a pertronix ignitor on my 2L pinto. dead easy to fit and ran like a dream. Not sure if its available for kent motors but if so , you wont regret it.
