Unhappy My dads passing

What can I say? My dad was a top bloke .. Very funny man but one week ago he had a massive heart attack and got taken away. Today he is being layed to rest. When I think of him I just smile ironically. He never said a bad word of anyone and always a joke.
I'm sad I'll miss him but most of all happy because it's the memories in our lives that make life worth living and bring happiness.
Rip dad

Very sorry to hear mate, RIP.

My Dad went through a very rough patch a couple months back.
Long story short, woke up one morning with severe headache, ambo took him to hospital, 2 OP's in 2 days, ICU for 2 weeks totally out of it, in a ward for a week, and today he's back home as normal.

He had a brain aneurysm burst. He had a very small chance of coming out of it.

We were all very scared, it must be pretty hard for you right now.

My heart felt condolences Stav.

I lost my mum only 3 months ago, and it still hurts every day. I miss her so much. But every day the pain gets a little bit better. So whilst you are in alot of pain now and it feels like your world may be upside down, just know that they are in a better place, and looking down over you every moment.

Treasure your memories with your dad, and celebrate his life with photos, memories and talking about him with your family. It is what he would have wanted.

And as you mentioned in your opening post, there will be times when you will smile or even laugh when you think of your dad.....

Heartfelt condolences to you Stav.
Lost mine in 1999, and there are still days where I pick up the phone to ring him and fill him in on some current event or happening..
Time does heal the pain, but the memories always remain.

My Dad died 4 years ago from Prostate Cancer at 60, Was the single hardest thing i have been through. Hardly a day goes by when i dont think of him. Even shed a tear some days. But to feel pain and to have been loved by him is better than to feel nothing at all. You are very lucky to have had him for 80 years and today you celebrate his life and what a difference he had made to your friends and families lives, Sorry for your loss and may he rest in peace. Very sad to hear mate. Thinking of the good times with him will always put some ease to the pain.

I haven't lost mine, but I did lose my grand dad 5 years ago. It took a couple of years for my dad to let his mind rest at ease.

We're all here for Stav.

My thoughts are with you and your family Stav. Losing a loving parent no matter how young, or old you are is always devastating. I guess as you get older you learn to manage those feelings and emotions better. On the lighter side it sounds like he had awonderful life and made the best of his privileged time here. No one can really ask more than that.
