Default Restoring cruise control buttons?

Hey guys

The steering wheel cruise control buttons/demister button in my Ghia are manky and old looking. What can you use to restore their colour?

I have heard of a few methods.
1. baby oil
2. light sand (if the print is already gone)
3. Armoural

Well I didn't have any baby oil so instead I used Polyglaze Dash and Trim care. I could have given the buttons a light sand first, but it still worked pretty well. Also makes the steering wheel nice and black.
