Default Advice on buying a car

Hey guys,

I currently drive a EF Fairmont with about 335,000 on the clock and have done a fair bit of repairs and isn't the most reliable vehicle.

As I am moving to the mines soon I am looking at buying a better car.

My dad says I should get a reliable vehicle but I'd rather get a nice falcon. Just after some advice for this. Looking around the $10000 mark maybe $15000 at most.

How reliable would a falcon in that price range be? Prefer a manual as thats the only way to drive...

Any advice would be great as I have never bought a car by myself.

Cheers,

Will mostly be open country roads. Nearly all will be sealed and rarely on non sealed roads.

For that money you could easily pick up a BF Mk11, obviously with higher kms than earlier models for the same money. If it was me and I was looking solely for reliability I would try and find the lowest km AUII/III in that price range.

AUs are well known for their reliability and longevity, so with a low KM one you really can't go wrong.

What state are you in?
