Need help on picking a car!

Hi all forum members

. Im a newbe to this forum site and thought i would say hi to you all. IM also new to the Ford Xr6 cars and dont know to much about them and was looking for a little help in making up my mind. The cars im looking at are as follows, 2005 Ford Falcon BF XR6 Super cab ute $13,900 ono 139,357km semi auto in great condition factory standard, 2003 FORD FALCON BA turbo ute $10,000 firm 158,000km factory standard with 18inch rims and hard top. in good condition. 2003 ford falcon XR8 ute $14,000 ono 177,000km 18inch alloy wheels and hard top, car is in great condition. im confused on which one to go for. Is one model better than the other. Im leaning towards the turbo but the only thing is when i took it for a drive and was stoped at the lights it felt like there was a shutter coming from the transmission only when i was standing still with my foot on the brake. I would put it into drive with my foot on the brake and it would sound and feel like it was shuttering, as soon as i put it into rev or park it would stop and driving it was fine. is this a known issue with this model car or are the transmission belts on there way out. some help would be great to help me make my mind up, cheers.

BF would hopefully have the 6 speeder which is nice. I don't know much about utes (I hear commercials can hold their value better) but if they were sedans those prices seem high to me.

With the XR8 apparently you need to check that the valve guides have been changed because the factory ones were prone to failure making mince meat of your engine.

If you are after performance go the turbo. Can't you get a mechanic to do a pre-purchase inspection to sus out the vibration?

The BF is a 4 speed auto ute. Yeah i think i will stay away from the XR8 i think just to be safe and i dont own a servo LOL.

Yeah i was thinking i might get it looked over, just for peace of mind. so does the 2003 turbo have alot more power than the 2005 BF XR6 super cab utility?

Yeah. a LOT more power. And the turbo also has the ability to be modded for more power for a lot less money then the standard 6 or the xr8. If you go the 8 make sure the engine doesnt rattle on start up. Thats an expensive and very common problem. Where abouts in tassie are you?

I think i will go for the XR6T. Are u from tassie to,I live in hobart.
