Travelled to Britain ,Ireland, Darwin, Melbourne and Sydney..Brisbane. Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham is fantastic !! 5 Halls of bikes from 1880 to 1975..If only some of those BSA's. Norton's and Triumph's had made production. Some amazing bikes built over the years...
Highlight of the year was watching my daughter graduate as a lawyer and being admitted to the Bar...may 2016 smile on us all..with friendly bantering!!!!!

Not such a moment but 2015 has resulted in the biggest improvement to beating my Anxiety Dis-order. Boy it has an impact on your life, and in many cases if it's worth continuing on with life. Hopefully 2016 gets me even closer to my old self, but an improved edition.

Biggest achievements were growing my drafting business as well as taking my photography skills to higher levels.

2015 - wish it never happened.
Did absolutely nothing to the Corty. 4 mini strokes and heaps of other associated crap. The only good thing is I have survived it [almost ] Bring on 2016! |

Spent two months overseas. One month in Finland at an intensive Finnish language course (which wasn't as intensive as I'd hoped, but I made some great new friends), then did an EPIC road trip through Finland and Norway with a bunch of people from another forum I frequent. Had only met 3 of them briefly, but had an awesome time with a fantastic bunch of people.
Had my bedroom taken over by termites again. It was cleaned out from the last lot while I was away, but within a week of me returning, and wanting to put all my gear away, I noticed fresh mud. So we had to start baiting all over again. They're not eating it. The lawn mower guy disturbed the nest outside, but they're still merrily chewing away at my built in wardrobe. My Finnish teacher here, that I've been taking classes with for the last two and a half years, is moving back to Finland to live, as her husband has recently retired, and their visas are up. The college are not sure if they will be able to find a replacement teacher, as there are so few Finns in the country, and even fewer who can explain their language to students. Most of us in the class want to continue to learn, but it looks unlikely.

Sold my crappy old Patrol, got my first Ford and ended up swapping one expensive hobby (IPSC) for another expensive hobby (modding cars) lol. Had my first taste of fun down the dragstrip and on a racetrack.
Nothings changed much anywhere else although I now spend more time with the kids as I'm not shooting as much, I'm still spending my pay as soon as I get it and developing a wish list a mile long lol Looking forward to more of the same this year Last edited by dane75; 02-01-2016 at 08:34 AM. My daughters turned 18 (Sheridan) and 21 (Ashley) in 2015.
I love those girls to bits, they're the nicest girls, not just saying that because they're mine. They keep me real, I keep them real. One proud and very happy Dad right here. Cheers!

Frosty won the V8SC championship. Bought a mint RTV, had a few enjoyable runs in the XY GS, a few highlights.

The highlights for me in 2015 were:
Bought a new XR8 Went on a family holiday to Fiji which, despite the months of heartache and pain where it appeared we would not go, the family REALLY enjoyed. Changed roles at work to focus on maintenance optimisation implementation. Serious doubt in 2016 as to where I will end up as the proposed restructure of our engineering and maintenance teams sees my position disappear. Thankfully, there are no forced redundancies, at least in our current EA. Ford dominated the V8SC series, and Frosty finally broke through for his first Championship And the personal highlight of the year for me was gaining my pilot's certificate, followed by earning my passenger endorsement which allowed me to take my Mum up as my first passenger. Just accrued 50 hours flying experience last week

I look at 2015 in disdain and disgust and I'm glad it ended. Quite easily the most **** year of my life.
The only highlight I have is that I took myself off my anti depressants and have had literally no side effects and I felt exactly the same as I did before them however I've been able to switch my thinking pattern so I feel fantastic. I've also lost about 15kg in the last two months so that's helped too. This year I have promised a few things which I've been complaining about at work so time to make that leap finally. I also am going to finish my diploma and just generally enjoy myself. The thing that keeps me grounded is the sentence "it takes more energy to be angry than it does to be happy". Also going to get a massive tattoo this year sometime. Just as a reminder of the place I was in compared to where I'm going now.
