hey guys, i want to get my car painted hopefully with in the next month or so, i wouldnt mind changing the colour but i cant really decide on which colour to go, so i thought id post up a thread ( i dont know how to make a poll) so i can see peoples opinions on colours. the car is currently white but i wouldnt mind changing the colour to a BA XR colour, preferably XR series II light blue, not blue print, its been done by many others. the car will be fully colour coded, and will also have tinted windows & tail lights, brock or xr lip spoiler, so heres my prefrences in order
1. Series II BA XR Light Blue (no idea what the name is) 2. White again, which white i dont know 3. White with Pearl (possibly blue or something completly different) 4. Green (Envy, with lots of gold pearl) 5. Red (BA XR Red) so tell me what you think wold look best with on the EA ot suggest another colour. Ehab

Well I used to have a white car (dynamic white) and I still miss it. Not many nice lookijg white cars out there.
Out of thr new ford colours I would choose Shockwave.

The light blue is a soft colour.
Why would you want a soft colour? If you eventually get a turbo AU6 in there Ehab, it'll be pretty unique so try for a unique colour. Can't be to hard to get some tweaked white paint with the pearls you mentioned. |

Oh come on, it's not that bad. We both know there's more bog than rust in that car. Just.

Galaxy (EL darkish blue colour) or Dynamic White. Your EA looks pretty good in white Ehab.

Yeah I reckon Dynamic White as well, it does look a lot brighter than Stark WHite EA's used.

The light blue BA Mk2 colour is called Velocity. Seriously though, painting your car the latest Ford/Holden colour has been done to death.
I say break out the colour charts and do something original. You just know that there are 10 cars out there already wearing that colour. Theres a really cool BMW copper with pearl out there that is pretty cool, and I've seen a few nice blues/purples on late model Suzuki/Daihatsu's that might look nice with some extra pearl mixed in... - John |

White Pearl, definately. I've seen a few cars roll out of dad's paint shop sporting a new coat of white pearl, and every time I need new daks.

My suggestion would be pearl black over any of the choices. You gonna be doing it yourself?, because if your needing help with sprayin or need tips on how to go about it im sure EBIIBurner could share his secrets

i done a tafe course which taught how to spray, but im not that good, my girlfiriends cousin is a painter so his going to do it for me, i might go with white, then i dont have to do the engine bay and i can get my custom plates. EXTAXI, as my dad was a taxi driver i have a couple of old meters and roof signs in the shed, would be funny to go to the drags like that.
he said he could mix me up a colour pretty easily, i just dont know what colour to get the pearl in. i was thinking either a green or blue, any suggestions if i do go pearl? Phil - i got 3 doors at home already that just need to be put on, i need one more door, hint hint! have you asked about that stuff for me yet? walki - silver sounds nice but i cant see my self in a silver car. isnt dynamic white what AU S1 came in? im sure thats what my dads is. id rather Snow White S2/3 Au. thanks for all the feed back guys. Ehab

just remember the lighter the color the less it shows imperfections (pearls excluded)
So if its not 100% straight stick with a white base color.
