Thumbs down Fairmont Chrome Striping

Hey all,

Need to get new chrome striping for entire car. As far as I know, for front and rear bumpers the moulds can be purchased all chromed up already, just a matter of peeling it back and sticking it on. However, for side moulds, I hear this is not the case and I'll have to purchase the chrome itself.

Can anyone verify this, and how do I go about fitting chrome striping on side moulds, heard it can be a little tricky.

The Front and rear bar Chrome simply peels off and self adhears on with the new chrome.

the side moulds have to be completely replaced or you can do what the previous owner did to my car. Cut the old chrome piece out of the moulds and stick the bumper chrome in. Looks ok

The side chrome isn't seperate from the grey plastic, isn't it? The chrome on the side of my car is stuffed while the chrome in the front and rear bumpers is like new (because the bumpers are fairly new). When I had some rust removed from the car, I asked the panelbeaters how much it would cost to replace the chrome across the sides of the car. The quote was $50 per door! I decided I'd stick with what I've got.
