my ea is an automatic t bar,have not had it long,sometimes it wont select
> reverse and will drive forward in neutral and the other forward gears but > wont reverse. it feels like it is in rev and a forward gear at same time, > can anyone help..Dave... it is a 4 speed Last edited by dpk; 08-09-2005 at 03:35 PM. Reason: did not quote 3 or 4 speed |

This is a longshot, but reeeeeeeally simple:
Maybe the linkage under the T-bar's throw (connects to the gear selector) isn't calibrated? The linkage can be adjusted as it can be slid forwards or rearwards. Here's a piccy: http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...EBlinkages.jpg So: Reverse = neutral Neutral = drive Drive = 3rd ??? -Dave- |

I wouldn't even try and fix it....
on the other hand I have a reco'd box from my EL XR6 for sale.........I think you should buy it.....

I would try get a service and hope for the best, thats its a simple fix, or it will cost you about $1500 or more for a rebuild.

my tranny was 1800 to re build
i had warranty cover half so i was lucky |
