Default Where is the EGO sensor mounted in an EA falcon?

Hi guys,

just a quick question - where abouts is the EGO sensor mounted in an EA ( / maybe EB i think they are similar?)

Im not familiar with the falcon exaust (ive never poked my head under one for a look), is it somthing like CAT - muffler - resonator - out?

Where abouts in the line is the EGO sensor located?

Also does anyone have a falcon wiring diagram? There are two white lines going into the sensor for the heater and one for the signal out.

Is the heater just wired to 12V?

the HEGO sensor is screwed into the exhust manifold just above where the cat bolts onto the exhaust manifold

the ego sensor is the in the exhaust manifold just above the flange. from memory the heater has 2 12 volt feeds and the signal wire. these should be red/green and black/green for the 12v, and green/blue for the signal on a standard harness.
hope this helps

Ahh ok, so its right up the hot end?

I guess the heater is used when the engine is just starting up and cold?

And the two white wires are both 12V - thanks!

There definatly not voltage reduced through a resistor or somthing?

So its grounded through the exaust?

Wonder how gaskets and things effect using the exaust as a ground.

I'd say it'd be ok as it would just ground itself through the bolts that hold the manifold to the head. Can't really see any other way it could be earthed...
