Default I'm the latest victim of the new Vicroads number plate site

Well, by now many of you already know about my new personalised plates (geez it's hard to keep a secret in this club! :P lol), but for those who don't, i made myself an impulse purchase the other week (only just got around to taking some pics now though :P) ;)

What do you guys think?

Cheers,
Dave

Ok, it's like a prefix for chemical names sorta thing (thanks google). I was just curious as to why it's worth $2000? Not baggin ya choice at all dude , i just would thought it's not something popular enough to demand $2k?

Unfortunately that sucks for us QLDer's.

A personalised plate costs $425. But you have to go either 2 numbers 3 letters (00AAA) or vice versa, or 3 numbers 3 letters (000AAA). And that even depends on the style of plate you want.

Sorry Mark, i must have said that a little ambiguously, i meant to say that i thought Xylic was living in victoria, and that for $2000 the plates must mean that somebody already had them and thought they were valuable (which is what i couldn't understand) because i know new the plates are in vic $395...

Nice plates Dave

On the topic of plates, can someone answer why some personal plates are more than others. I just tried EL-302 and it quotes $300.90 but the ones I actually ordered (no I'm not telling :P ) are $395? What gives?

Costs change depending on what you get. But as EL-302, isn't recognized as a fully personalized plate, i guess is it's cheaper.

Three Letter Plates = $495
Four, Five, Six Letter (With Numbers) Plates = $395
Two Letter Plates, Followed by Numbers = $300.90

Not sure what else you can get.

//Edit: check this out, it shows you the prices.. http://www.vplates.com.au/platestyles.htm

or go 3 letters, 3 numbers. Grand total of $165. Although I think it's gone up to $195.
