Default It's time to go.... EURO4D

It's with much regret that I announce EURO4D is up for sale as I require a larger vehicle, so I can tow my Escorts.

http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthr...650#post350650

I do want to emphasise that my involvement in the club will continue, I still own a couple cars in the club heh.

I love the Focus and will really miss it. It's provided so many good memories (along with all you guys in the club), and I regret the idea of not having it. But, I do need a vehicle that can tow, so I hope the car goes to a good home.

Tim

Arguably the best road driven Focus in Australia this none. Meticulously cared for, spotless in every way and cared for like a family member. Would be a very good purchase to any car lover. Sorry to see it going Tim!

NIce car, Sad to see it go, but everything must end sometines, so much you did to it and now it has to go. Reminds me of the predicament I was in when I sold my EF. Good luck

Thanks for the comments guys...

At this stage, I am looking at a 3.0L Duratec V6 Escape to replace the Focus, which can both tow and have some resemblance of fuel economy when I am not. Although I am not Ford biased, I do like the Escape, and moreso the Territory, but the Tory chews the fuel too badly for my liking.

More on this soon, thanks again, will be sad to see her go.

We will have to organise a "Goodbye EUR04D Cruise" asap before you sell it Tim.

Not sure if it will happen but surely we could fit in one more cruise for the EUR04D? Any takers?

OMG, i am also shocked and speechless, but all good things come to an end.

It is one of the hottest focus i have ever seen, and a true member of the club (ie head of the clan).

I only hope the new owned will treat it with respect and keep it in top shape and also have lots of fun with it.

A Goodbye EUR04D Cruise sounds good but might have to be very soon.

Timmeh,

What a shame mate. Are the plates going with the car also?? If there's a cruise before you sell it (and I'm not away in S.A.) I'd love to ride shot-gun at some stage.

I'm pretty sure the plates are going with the car. Definitely not something you had planned considering all the work done to EUR04D. All the best with the sale Tim, it's been fun cruising with Blue Flame.

Eddie - will make sure you come for a blast in her before she goes! I think the plates are part of the car, my main concern is selling the plates and then not being able to sell the car - I would want the plates if I kept the car. And if I did separate them, I'd want the plates on my RS2000 LOL.

The price is as low as it's going, $17,990, if it doesn't sell at this price, I'm keeping her, she's worth more than that anyway.

You're right, I didn't. The reason being I have never owned a Falcon that hasn't done a head gasket, or been towed before, including our 2003 BA XR6.

I have always loved the BA's styling tho, and there was no other vehicle on the market that I could buy an immaculate one year old with all the toys that would tow 2300kg as easily and safely for 23 grand.

I tested it extensively, inspected it from head to toe, did everything I could to ensure it was problem free. The photos below are from the dealers website, hence the extremely low quality, both in colour and contrast. The car's a nice deep red, the interior is black (not grey like it seems in the photo).

So let's see if this Falcon can bury the demons of Falcons past.

Good luck with the new BA Tim. I know the dramas you and your old folks have had with Falcons, especially BAs. I also know how much you loved Euro4d, especially after riding shotgun in it. Best of luck mate.

Hmmm.... my Euroford Recovery Vehicle (tm) will always be a hatch.... hell, bring on the Fiesta ST (XR4?) and XR5T! I guess for you though, the towing being the MAIN issue, its what you needed. Good luck with it all! Those seats look VERY comfy.... im sure it will hold you better then the Focus.

Sad to see it gone though! :(

Oh well... Maybe when you get more $$$ you can get a NEW euro4d focus in the new blue.... and make a lookalike!
