Default Springnats in style...

SPHELL, Kenaz, dansedgli & myself took a trip to springnats on the weekend, with the pure stupidity of cops last year Sphell took it apon himself to organise a hire car for the trip, and what a great idea it was.
Without a doubt any of our cars would have been defected, at one point there was a roadworthy station setup on the main road, with about 40 cars pull over in the hour or so we were watching, about 80% of them were defected (no fords got done in this period :P)

laugh of the hour was a STOCK AS A ROCK VS GTSR, that got defected for speed rating on tyres and the spoiler (factory fitted!!!!)

anyway, the rental was the highlight of the weekend, quite a stunner it was.

we got our hands on it, stock as VZ exec, with the new Alloytec.. what a beast it was.

But, the pics say it all

the money shot for the final day....

further pics from the weekend are here:

(no actual springnats pics as kenaz and sphell took them)

Sounds like it was a good weekend up there. Did we have many e-series reps up there?

I think the local council in Shepp need to have a chat to their can'tstables, I mean this is an event that is all about custom and modified cars, I can't see that the school librarian is gonna be headed up their. If they want numbers to increase at these events which is always good for the local business and tourism trade I think they need to rethink their 'welcome strategy'.

Hire car sounds like the way to go, bit scarey to take your own car.

Road trip next year!!!! Count me in.

Lift the guards! Lift the guards!!

My head is still sore. It was fun weekend, maybe a little too much drinking saturday night. The cops were rediculous again. Its hard to tell if the defects were as bad as last year tho.

What a friggin awesome weekend! The Rental Rocked! It was a great idea taking that up, if any of our cars were taken up and pulled over they would've been given yellow stickers for sure. The most ridiculous thing I saw was this GSR Lancer that we were following up from Melbourne, it was pulled over within 1 minute of being in the town. It didn't even look that modified.

Saturday night was the highlight for me, even though I don't remember all of it : Riding around the caravan park on a car trailor with 20 other random blokes chanting "tits out for the boys, get your tits out for the boys".
Letting every person within earshot along the main street know that our car was a RENTAL.
Some bogan lady with no teeth driving a VX SS
Getting back to the tent at about 6:30am.
Cobram chicks are HOT!

I'll be there next year without doubt ;)

that was a great weekend, especially saturday nite ;) Ended up going to 3 different clubs and got back to the camping park at 6:30am.....I'm glad John drove back to Melbourne cause there was no way I could have lol. Got a few pics as well.

STOCK VS GTS-R. Note the nice yellow sticker on the windscreen.

just a few VL's in a bit of trouble ;)

STOCK F6 Typhoon. Got pulled in and the EPA guy was trying his best to find something wrong with this car looking under the front bumper, in the engine etc but couldn't find anything...sucked in lol. Also if you look in the background that red BA was actually a wedding car cause there was a wedding on in that building. I'm suprised they didn't get inspected either the way the cops were going!

The Avis Racer doing the IRS dance (foot on brake, foot on throttle lol). It was an instant lowering job (well at the back anyway) ;)

The council really needs to have a go at these cops/epa ventures. RANDOM my ****. Fair enough if some car turns up with an exposed pod, stupidly low or busted brakes do it. Looking at a stock GTSR or F6, give me a break.

I agree, people will stop going if it stays this way. The cop presence is good because it stops dickheads from being stupid on the street, but the defects were just getting out of hand.

hey guys just got back from shep, had a great weekend. I only ended up in one event due to being very hungover, which was the db drags i had one quick run with the wrong test tone and back seats still up and pulled 125.5db so there is plenty more left to go.

my ef got away without a defect note so it was good for me.

Credit where credit's due boys :P Rental was my idea :

I got done once again by the two words that any young ethnic sick c_nt dreads to hear, "family business" which translates to "bend over" whenever you want to get a weekend off. Next year I'll just leave and not ask even :Reverend:
