Hey Guys and Gals,
Firstly, sorry if this is a repost. If you haven't already heard, Top Gear (probably the best Motoring show ever) will start airing on SBS on monday at 7.30pm. http://www.sbs.com.au/whatson/index....ate=12:12:2005 Enjoy.

Yeaaaahs at least its good news that finally a decent motoring program has landed here in Australia.
I love that episode with the 3 cars on the Pendine sands.

Speaking of top gear - anyone see it on BBC last night? (11/12/2005).
Trying to get the Pagani Zonda out of the underground carpark - made me jump out of my seat and cringe.

Man I love Mythbusters. Car capers was one of the best when they destroyed that small block.

But that would be interesting, a Top Gear Field Trip... what would be more interesting is if Richard Hammond could reach the pedals of a BA.....(non movable) |

They liked the monaro, and they bagged out the 300C.
Good show, and atleast it is funny unlike the aussie versions.

Watched it. They said the interior was rubbish and that it could go though. They somehow manage to vote it the best, beating the jag and 300C.

They probably spent more on the chopper filming the cars on the beach than what is spent on each entire episode of Drive...

I haven't seen a full episode of Top Gear, but I've seen a few clips (Car vs. bike, and some bike-powered street-legal race car), and I prefer Best Motoring International, no snobby British guy, and they have fun. There's also something about the touge that Australian motorsports can't seem to match...

I like the way they thrashed those three cars on the beach. Talk about power drifting, that would be so fun.

I wonder how many days it took for the Monaro to start rusting after driving through the salt water.

Great show, I too wondered what they would think of a Typhoon or something like that if they loved that ugly Monaro. Jeez they know how to ruin a nice looking car.. The original Monaro with no plastic on it at all is still the best to me, and one of the only Holden's I would consider. Then again I would have to live with the crap interior and terrible ride.. hrmmmm XR6T/Typhoon me! :hihi:

I looked at the text that came up on my telly, and if I could be bothered, i'd try to find the episode on my pc.
The lake was a freshwater one, and I think it's series 5 they are showing. They are now up to series 7. |
