i installed a kenwood deck into my EL, i now no what most of you guys mean when you say you have to modify the brackets.
i had to bend them ,drill new mounting holes in them. it took a couple of hours but the end result is great. |

how did you wire it up. twitch and tape, solder or fit new plugs

sorry, i dont have any pics, might be able to take some tomorrow,
to wire it up, i bought a wiring harness which plugs into the ford plugs, and used single screw connectors to connect the cables from the deck to the wiring harness, this way i can unplug it if i ever needed to change the deck or put the stock on back in |

I did a temporary (half assed) install job on my head unit using the front half of the stock bracket, a lot of gaffa tape and the stock, 15 year old wiring. Funnily enough, was a kenwood too.
Isn't it nice having that new head unit feeling? |
