and it managed to get 60k's more out of one tank
from 500 to 563k's which works out to be from 13L/100 to 11.5L thats with aircon going most times, 35psi at the treads 25% local and 75% freeway (including heavy traffic) not bad for 1990's ea, with original 228k motor

unclipped the cable from the throttle body, undid it from inside. threw it in the bin, and then replaced it with a new one. lol
only reason im mentioning it is coz thats the only thing thats been done to the car. since last tank...lol

Something i noticed when i changed my
old cfi to mpi, the cables are different in that mpi has a female plug with a nut to hold the mpi cable in place. I had to put a plug behind accelerator to hold it together or it would have pulled straight out.

Umm... how on earth does a throttle cable affect economy? Yes it would help acceleration, and open the throttle body up more, but when you are travelling, you are sitting at a constant speed/RPM... thats how you get the economy, you could still have the most ratИИИИ throttle cable, and a brand new one, and it would do the same amount of km's!

A) the old one was sticking or something B) You have accidently changed/moved/knocked something in the engine bay causing this improvement

Oh I know! Maybe... just maybe... the driving in the 500km tank wasn't 100% the same as the driving on the 563km tank! Or maybe the fuel was a bit better? Maybe the air was a little cooler? Maybe the start stop was less?

It technically has exactly the same power as before, its just now you can use all the power that it has, rather than only 80% of it before... (just at a rough guess)
