You want the RED with BLUE trace wire on the main Factory stereo loom. Its the Trigger wire that will power the antenna up.

The REMOTE wire on the headunit can be used for the trigger power on Amplifiers and Antennas. This will be Blue with a white trace. Unless the unit has a plain Blue wire which is normally your antenna trigger wire, use the REMOTE wire.

Red with a blue trace (or Blue line) is definitly your power antenna trigger wire on the factory loom.

Your headunit should have a antenna trigger wire from it. Most headunits its plain blue. The headunit will also have a Blue with white trigger wire called Remote power.

Most of the time remote power triggers your amps and any other assessories you have connected to your headunit. The plain blue wire should be connected to the antenna wire in your case, red with blue trace. But Some units (e.g pioneer) just have Blue with white. So you would connect the amp trigger and antenna trigger to the one wire.

Here's a way to test it. Do you have a test light? connect it to the 12v+ constant wire and touch the red/blue wire with the test light. The antenna SHOULD power up and go to half mast or full mast depending on your switch settings.

Also try disconnecting the amp remote wire and connect that to the Red/blue wire.

Finally, Did the antenna work originally? Is it a factory Ford one or a Aerpro one? is it connected to the factory loom or is it wired on its own
besides that, Im on msn if you need more assistance (ea_svo89 at hotmail.com)

as for amp fuse blowing, make sure your ground and positive cables are not touching. By the sounds of it you have quite possibly wired up the wrong cable follow any wiring diagrams that came with both your car AND the stereo/amp. Don't look for common colours, just common names :P

Or if you were in Perth sor I could come round and wire it up for ya :P
