I still can't believe it. About 1.30 this morning I was woken to the sound of my XR8 starting up and reversing out my driveway. I got to the window in time to see a pair of tailights disapearing down the street. Notified the police straight away and made a report, but no sign of it. I always thought things like this would never happen to me. Luckily car is insured but who knows if i'll ever see it again. A##hole left two black lines down the street while driving off. I hope you get whats coming to you you lowlife scum.

Sorry to hear. You would like to think your car is safe parked in your driveway while you're home. Hope they find it and the lowlife asap.

There are ways around smart lock, I am sure. I use to know a bloke who was in a lot of trouble from both the NSW and QLD police for ripping of HSV's (no, I was not his friend, we just trained at the same martial arts academy) His name is Vlad and yes he is doing time, were he belongs. Curiosity got the better of me and I had to ask how he was able to bypass the Holden security system...... "easy" he said " XXXXXXXXXX"........... As I said I don't know if the smart lock is anything like Holdens but if it is, your car is not all that safe............
I just want to clarifie,,,, I do not and never associated with this fellow, and I only new him for a short time. Last I heard he was doing time for stealing cars and drug charges............ ИИИИen scumbag Last edited by smciner1; 05-02-2006 at 09:20 PM. Reason: We don't need everyone knowing how it is done |

Smartlock is easy to get around. Easier than that Holden one. These ****ers have had 13 years to learn how to get aorund it.
Sorry to hear mate, at least it's covered. |

Someone might want to remove the info on bypassing the Holden security system.
I know they're only Holdens, but they are someone's pride and joy as well, and it might not be a great idea to have it posted on a public forum. Sorry to hear about your car getting taken, if you can't leave it in your driveway then where will it be safe? Hopefully the cops find it for you and it's not too badly damaged. I was told today that the "secure" carpark where my baby is parked during the day while I'm at work was broken into on Sunday last week and the people went around smashing car windows. Hopefully they didn't get someone's remote to open the door. The stupid people who live there shouldn't leave doors open.

That is a loss. EL XR8's my favourite Ford model. Won't be joyriders. I think your shell may be found burnt out within next week. Or will end up rebirthed in different state.
Just out of interest what are they worth market value on insurance?

still, i agree with feathers that it shouldnt be there.......just needed to say "i knew a bloke that knows how to break in and steel them...... he's doing time for it..." instead of giving details on how....

That realy sucks I dread the day to ever find my car stolen, I know some lowlife has had a crack at it before they damaged the driver's key hole.
Hope they find it, in one piece mate. |

I cant begin to imagine that gut wrenching feeling. If my car ever got stolen, i'd hope and pray that I never saw it again, I wouldnt want anything to do with it anymore, no matter how much damage was or wasnt done to it.
