Default EL Ghia Climate Control Help

Can anyone tell me what the E2 error code on an EL Ghia climate control module refers to? I have reset the unit a number of times but it just won't go away.........

And also how to fix whatever it refers to

Thanks

E2 = blend door motor, it is located on top of the heater box behind the dash, the way to fix it is pull the dash out, if the flap is actaully broken but the motor works then its a a/c de-gas, coolant dump and heater box out to fix.

In any event do it yourself will cost alot of hours and say about 100 in parts, pay someone to do it, will cost you most of $500.

Geez - anyone have a better answer than that!!!

Not that i don't appreciate the prompt response EA2BA - i just don't like the cost factor.........

This damn car is trying my patience at the moment - last 4 weeks has been battery, dizzy, water pump, fan belt and brake pads - fix one damn thing and another bit fails

Pity it's so nice to drive!!!

So it could be the door ($12.90) OR the motor ($260.00!!!!)???

Will either cause the E2 error or is it more likely to be the motor??

And are the motors available from anyone else apart from Ford?

The reason i ask is that it seems like a major job and of course once the dash is out i can't drive the car to go and get the parts (if they don't have to be shipped from interstate because my useless ford dealer doesn't carry them) and i need to get to work so it's a weekend joib when the dealer isn't open and blah blah blah blah...............................
