Default Help with purchasing

I'm looking at buying a used car privately. I have the VIN and engine number and I want to know how I can check the model of the car cause it looks like something other than what the advertiser says it is. Anyone know how to do this

Check out REVS and the RTA may also be able to help. Failing that, contact the vehicles manufacturer with the numbers or check to see if there is a club for that make/model. Clubbists normally have access to all kinds of details.

Here is the RTA myRecords fill in the requested details and you'll get some basic details from them.

Nope...no go with the RTA records. Only tells me that its registered and when registration expires. Doesnt tell me what model the vehicle is.
