Its just the luck on the day. The Prices vary on the interest and who is at the auction on the day. I have been going to the salvage auctions for months now waiting for an EL XR8. Just a game of patience. Have seen several XR6s go lately Last was EL 97 XR6 rolled but engine and box ok, Tick rims ok and interior reasonable. Went for $900.00. Depends on how much damage and whos at the auction. Price seems to be anywhere from $500 - $3000. The latter was minor front damage....
Good luck and patience.

i got an EFII Ghia for $1100 - which has tickford engine, 3.45 LSD, tickford ECU, leather interior etc - had front end damage but engine was fine.
although it was *only* an auto, you could easily sell the parts to cover a manual box ;)
