Well tonight on my way home from work my luck ran out.
Guy pulling a trailer pulled out in front of me, didn't even see me he reckons and I unable to get out of the way slid into his drivers door. Popped the air bag too. So pi55ed off cause it was the car I dreamt of owning since i was a kid, barely had 7 months and now i probably won't see it again. Fronts all pushed in, all four lights are broken plus indicators, there was water pouring out of the radiator. And i just spent a heap getting the Air con fixed too. Worst thing is my car's screwed and he doesn't have too much body damage. but may have to fix some suspension as his front drivers wheel didn't look straight. Hopefully the insurance company, in the generosity of its heart will repair the Xr not not consider it a repairable write off. BTW no one hurt seriosly hurt. Banged my knee into the steering column still a bit sore now. |

Aww man that just sucks. I saw an accident involving an XR exactly like yours, same colour and very similar circumstances about 2 weeks ago. (But I'm in SA)
How do people like that get along in life? Hope it all goes well, insurance wise etc.

That's a shame mate, main thing is that you're ok, ho[pe you're able to recover what you can from what happened. Looks like she was a beauty of a car too. :(

Sorry to hear about the car. :( I suppose lowered cars would be a bit harder for someone in a 4WD to see, but they have a responsibility to be extra careful.
Hopefully it isn't written off... keep us posted. |

Sorry to hear that and see the damage. Unfortunately, looking it the photos, I'd say it will probably be written off. To fix it you'd probably need to replace the whole radiator support panel, which is a big job. It looked like a nice car too. Best of luck.

Damn not good, looking at those photos it looks like a farily big hit and chances are the XR will be an economic writeoff (cost of repair exceeds certain value of the car).
