Wont load pictures, cant find sites unless i tell it to about 5 times, whats going on?

Methinks this browser is not as good as all the hype suggests?!

I'm still having trouble with E-Bay. Won't load pix at all.
Have tried others suggestions as per the other day, but no dice.
Otherwise it is still going ok for me.

Did you do that tweaking? I seem to remember you having trouble after that. I reversed it all, and any problems I had (pictures loading, sites loading) went away. Didn't get that bad, though.

I've had ebay not show a picture once or twice, but it beats the hell out of pop-ups.

Firefox works fine for me, does it load no pictures at all like graphics and stuff or just jpg's?

At least with Firefox you know the reason your pictures aren't loading isn't a security exploit large enough to fly a jumbo through.

Yes i did the tweaking, and i uninstalled and then reinstalled Firefox just to make sure i reset it. It is the latest version too, got it straight from their site.

The pics that dont load are usually pictures in posts on here, i have to refresh the page about 5 times to see the pics that people are commenting on! Doesnt happen to all of them though, just some.

The other annoying thing is when you punch in an address of a site you know is right and functional, and it will say it cannot be found. However if you make it look for it about 5 times, it eventually finds it.

Most definatley, I would say the settings and the profile are exactly the same, that what happened to me, I had to delete the profile.

I find that hard to believe....I very much doubt Firefox did that much irrepairable damage to windows.

I'd bet your p.c already had issues prior to installing Firefox, it just happened to be the straw that broke tha camels back.

back2thefutura, your problem sounds more like isp/dns dramas to me. I've used mozilla/firefox for a fair while without the slightest glitch(not that it helps you out tho).

Stuff IE, stuff Firefox. Use good ol' Mozilla (even though they are to do with Firefox). Easily the quickest and the best.

I've never had an issue with Firefox either, I'm on dial up and everything loads twice as fast as I.E.

I ran spybot and ad aware last night (I hadn't done it in over 2 weeks), Spybot didn't find anything and ad aware found 4 trackers, they were from when I.E. windows were opened to view sites.

Gotta love the no pop ups too.

Sorry it doesn't help you though b2tf. :(

IE6 crashed my PC that many times that I thought stuff it and downloaded Firefox, no more crashes, easy to use, also run Mozilla's Thunderbird as my email client.

Google is my preferred search engine and for any photographers out there in Ford Forum Land try downloading Picasa2 from Google, the best programme for viewing, sorting, editing and enjoying photos that this dumb broad has used for a long time, in fact come to think of it, it's the only programme I can say that I have used that hasn't driven me nutz.... : : :
