Default ACE 3V PB @ Calder

Took the old 3Valve XT out to calder tonight for a few runs after a couple of exhaust changes today. Went straight to scrutineering with standard road tyres then raced.

1 = 1.96 60ft 13.45 @ 101.86
2 = 2.76 60ft 15.31 @ 99.97 (Launched at 3,000RPM tyre spin central)
3 = 2.09 60ft 13.72 @ 102.08

Went to the pits and put on my M/T street radials with the following results.

4 = 1.99 60ft 13.47 @ 103.14
5 = 2.02 60ft 13.63 @ 100.75
6 = 1.89 60ft 13.32 @ 102.54 : :
7 = 1.99 60ft 13.39 @ 102.26

Run 6 is a new PB for the 3 valver.....

Thanks to Di Filippo Performance Exhausts for spending the time to make up an exhaust that i really wanted to try, thanks to Chris (Bluepower) for crew chiefing tonight. And thanks to Calder the fries tonight were magnificent...

Can't wait to the next time. :sm_headba :sm_headba

Regards Craig

Well done Craig, 1.89 60ft 13.32 @ 102.54 awesome 60 foot, so close to the 13.2.
New clutch fixed the gear changes?
Very close to those 260 boss powered cars.

No chain pulling here dude....LOL.....Normally after about 4 runs with the well worn standard clutch it makes it difficult to change gears in a racing situation. But with all the waiting around at calder in between clean ups, burnout comps and general not knowing what they are doing out there, there was time for it to cool down pretty good in between runs. So i managed a couple of extras...........Glad i did cause the last 2 runs felt pretty good. Correct me if i'm wrong but i reckon this car must have the best 60ft times for a sedan at the moment???

Cheers CC

Well done mate, that's a bloody great achievement and one to be proud of.

Certainly puts the 3v back into the spotlight!
