Don't assume that cars are assembled the same as 30 years ago.
Tip: before spending the best part of an hour searching for the right open-ended spanner, check if the lower shock absorber mount has a captive nut... (I hope I won't have to share tip number 3 which will concern correct use of a coil spring compressor and holes in the workshop roof...) |

Sounds as if you got in more trouble than a pregnant nun fitting the springs. It took me nearly 3 hours to do the lot on the AU Ghia I had . I used a air tool but it was not a leaker. I would be angry as hell if oil sprayed everywere inside the car.

mate , you need to take a bit more time and think about what you are doing before you just rush into things by the sounds of it, your gonna end up killing yourself at this rate ! (jokin ;) ..lol ) , if your not sure on something before attempting a repair or whatever - ask away on these forums - plenty of people here to put you on the right track ;) . cheers
