Has anyone installed one of these? Just wondering if the sensor is the part on top of the dizzy type shaft, and is replaceable, or is it the whole shaft with sensor on top that needs replacing.
Thanx

Whole shaft with sensor are as one entire piece, will set you back about $130.

You can just but the top and replace the plastic part. Replaced mind 3 weeks ago because of a 214 fault code. Idles much better now.

easy to replace.
Put motor at tdc on 1st cyl. Put drill bit through hole on the side of the cam angle sensor so the input shaft will not move. Slide it into the shaft and wiggle a socket on the crank back and forth until it drops in. Slide it in without taking drill bit out, tighten the bracket, take drill bit out and your set. I dont think pin point precision is totally important as its only purpose is to tell the ecu what stroke its on. So i do not know how it would affect idle either?
